Ying Maggie Chen, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis, will present at the 2021 FASEB Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) Conference: Structure, Function, and Disease virtual conference to be held June 22-24, 2021. Dr Chen will speak on Endoplasmic Reticulum Dyshomeostasis and Kidney Disease.
This FASEB ER Conference focuses on endoplasmic reticulum function, stress, and contribution to disease. The conference brings together cell biologists and disease-oriented researchers, including both trainees and independent investigators, with an interest in the ER.
The meeting will cover eight sessions, four poster sessions and career development workshops. Jonathan Weissman,PhD,Whitehead Institute, will present the EMBO Keynote Lecture.
The key themes of the conference are: ER protein biogenesis, maturation, quality control, and secretion; ER stress and the unfolded protein response; interconnections between ER homeostasis and other cellular processes; and the roles of ER stress in diverse diseases.
